The Realm of Dessel
“Welcome to the fair realm of Dessel”
The Realm of Dessel Within this area lies a tapestry of woodland, farmland and ancient heath. Home to the Sister in Arms; the aristocracy and courtiers of neighbouring kingdoms; thieves and nobles. Woods of Dessel: Thieves Wood is one of the busiest woods in Oldwood Forest where travellers were once the prey of highwaymen on the Kings Way to Dessel. Haywood Oaks is a small wood with hidden treasures. Mature oak trees ,which are several hundred years old, can still be seen throughout the wood and provide a snap shot of the Oldwood of times gone by. The Birklands contains the remnants of the once extensive Oak forest which once covered much of Oldwood Forest. The most famous of these is the Major Oak.
