Rules for posting:
1) Do not tear anyone down or insult any member of the group.
2) When giving critiques, be prepared to list positives as well as negatives.
3) Only advertise in the areas specified. This means do not post your products anywhere other that the Products thread, portfolios in the portfolio thread etc.
4) No spam. None. Do not post links on where to get free credits, ask us to vote for you in the DOC, etc.
5) Starting your own thread is welcomed, however please make sure the thread you are starting has not already been covered by a sticky thread.  This won't get you kicked out or anything, but it is a courtesy I ask of all members.
6) Please treat everyone with kindness, especially people who are new to modeling. We were all new and a little lost once!
7) Please keep all posts in all threads suitable for viewing by the general audience. We want to keep this group open to all and a safe and friendly place for all.
8) I, the group owner, reserve the right to lock, delete and move threads as I see fit.  I do not believe in doing this frequently but there are times in which this is necessary.

Please ask questions and raise debate and talk about your ideas.

There are people here far more experienced than I, so my how to threads are not the only how-tos allowed!  If you want to share it, share it!  As long as it follows the rules, it belongs here!

Help: Membership

The Membership attribute of a group specifies how you may join the group.

Open: You may join the group at any time.
Invite only: You must be invited to join the group.
V.I.P. only: Available to VIP members only. Only IMVU VIP members may join. Click here to learn about the VIP program.

Help: Access

The Access attribute of a group specifies how the group can be viewed, browsed, or searched.

Public: Anyone can view the group. The group shows up in browse and search.
Private: Only members of the group can view the group. The group shows up in browse and search.
Secret: Only members of the group can view the group. The group does not show up in browse or search.

Help: Active Members

The "Active Members" panel displays up to six members who posted most recently to the group.

Click on the link "View All Members" to view all members of the group.

Help: Access-Pass holders only

This icon indicates that this is an Access-Pass holders only group.

Help: Model Messages

The Model Messages is a place where members can write short messages for everyone to see. It is a quick and fun way for people to catch up with each other in a group. Unlike the Discussion Board which follows a more traditional forum style exchange, the Model Messages emphasizes what is happening right now and right here in your group. For this reason, messages are limited to 100 characters, and only the most recent messages are displayed.

A "new" icon (

) appearing in front of a message indicates that the message was posted within the last 5 minutes.

To see the date and time when a message was posted, move your mouse cursor over the message, and a tooltip will appear that shows you the post date and time of the message.

Please note that if your message is deemed unsuitable for the group, it may be deleted from the Model Messages.

To post a message, click on the "Post Message" link. Please note that only a subset of the message syntax is supported for messages. Please click on the "Syntax Help" button to find out more.

Help: Soapbox

The Soapbox is a (small) platform for the group owner to deliver a message to all the group members. It is a quick one-way communication between the group owner and the group.
